Shipping Policy

 

Effective Date: 01/06/2026

 

This policy explains how orders placed through the Studio One Dance Academy online store "the Store" (including SODA activewear, accessories and other Studio merchandise) are made available to customers. By placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

 

1. Who This Policy Applies To

  • Enrolled students and their families ("members"), who are automatically set up for in-studio collection.

  • Non-members (patrons who are not currently enrolled at the Studio), who may collect in person or arrange delivery as set out in Section 3.

 

2. Collection: The Default Option

All orders placed through the Store are, by default, prepared for collection at one of our five studio locations. There is no collection fee. Once your order is ready, we will contact you using the details provided at checkout to confirm which studio it is available at and when you can collect it.

 

2.1  Studio Locations

 

Brackenfell | Die Ateljee Studio: 28 John Gainsford Street, Brackenfell

Durbanville | OHM Studio: 11 Falcon Street, D'urbanvale

Paarl | The Yard Wellness Centre: Val De Vie Estate, Paarl

Franschhoek | La Bri Farm: Robertsvlei Road, Franschhoek

Somerset West | Think Silver Studio: 3 Bright St, Somerset West

 

Please indicate your preferred collection studio in the order notes at checkout, or when arranging your order directly with us. If no preference is given, we will confirm the most convenient studio with you before your order is finalised.

 

2.2  Collection for Members

Enrolled students and their families can collect orders at their home studio during regular class times, or at any of our other locations by arrangement — simply let us know in advance.

 

2.3  Collection for Non-Members

Non-members are welcome to collect their order at any of our five studios. Please contact us to confirm a suitable collection time, as our studios are primarily class venues and access outside of class hours may be limited.

 

3. Delivery for Non-Members

Non-members who would prefer not to collect in person may request delivery. As delivery is arranged on an individual basis rather than through automated checkout shipping, please message us directly to set this up:

  • Contact us by email or phone (see Section 6) with your order details and delivery address.

  • We will arrange a courier through The Courier Guy, our standard courier partner, unless you request a different courier of your choice.

  • We will confirm the courier's quoted rate with you before dispatch. Delivery only proceeds once this rate has been accepted.

  • Payment for the courier fee is arranged directly with you at the time of booking, separately from your order payment.

 

3.1  No Mark-Up Guarantee

The Studio does not add any mark-up, handling fee, or additional charge to courier costs. You are charged exactly the rate quoted by the courier for your delivery — nothing more.

 

3.2  Choosing Your Own Courier

If you would prefer to use a courier other than The Courier Guy, let us know when you place your order and we will happily arrange collection by your chosen courier from the relevant studio. In this case, the Studio is not responsible for that courier's rates, service standards, or delivery timelines.

 

4. Delivery Timeframes & Risk

  • Delivery timeframes are set by the courier and may vary depending on your location and the courier's own schedules. We will pass on any tracking information provided by the courier.

  • Once an order has been collected by the courier from the studio, responsibility for the item passes to the courier. Please inspect your parcel on arrival and contact us promptly if there is any damage or discrepancy.

  • The Studio is not responsible for delays, loss, or damage caused once an order is in the courier's possession, but we're happy to assist in liaising with the courier on your behalf if an issue arises.

 

5. Order Readiness & Notifications

We will notify you by email, phone, or WhatsApp (whichever you prefer) once your order is ready for collection or has been booked with a courier for delivery. Please ensure your contact details are up to date so we can reach you without delay.

Studio One Dance Academy reserves the right to update this Shipping & Collection Policy at any time, including changes to our courier partner or collection arrangements. The current version will always be available on our website and at each studio.
